- Ten Charges Dismissed
- Vulnerable Client
- Trial Avoided
A vulnerable client faced ten separate allegations of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
Rather than allowing the matter to proceed to trial, MC Solicitors examined the prosecution case, identified evidential weaknesses and prepared detailed representations to the Crown Prosecution Service, drawing particular attention to the client’s individual vulnerabilities.
The CPS accepted the defence representations, and all ten charges were dismissed without trial.
This outcome demonstrates the value of challenging the prosecution case at an early stage, particularly where a client’s vulnerabilities require careful consideration.
Every criminal case depends upon its individual facts. Previous case outcomes do not guarantee the outcome of another case.
